| Foraging: Captive Foraging is so important for your bird! Parrots need to keep busy and active for good mental and physical health. Many of the behavior problems birds have are related to boredom. In the wild they spend 80% of their day foraging for food. In a cage, they do not have to work for their calories and spend only seconds getting to the food dish, and the rest of their time wondering what to do.
Foraging gives your bird something productive to do and fills a need that is programed into them before they hatch. These foraging tools will help pluckers and feather destructors find something else to do that they just might enjoy more.
